Igiehon Elite Academy ("IEA", "we", "our", "us") operates the IEA mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, including youth athletes and their families. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:

• Account information: your name, IEA ID, email address, date of birth, position, and academy location
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one
• Direct messages: text and voice messages sent between users within the App
• AI Coach conversations: messages you send to and receive from the IEA AI Coach
• Training data: your engagement with training programs, workouts, and videos
• Usage data: how you interact with the App (screens visited, features used)
• Device information: device type, operating system, and app version for diagnostics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your IEA account
• To provide personalised training content, coaching advice, and academy services
• To facilitate direct messaging between academy members
• To power the IEA AI Coach and improve its responses over time
• To send academy announcements, schedule updates, and notifications
• To maintain leaderboards and track training engagement
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
• To comply with legal obligations

4. AI Coach & Data Use

The IEA AI Coach is powered by advanced AI technology. When you use the AI Coach, your messages are processed by our AI systems to generate responses. By using the AI Coach, you acknowledge:

• Your conversations may be used to improve the AI Coach's responses
• Do not share sensitive personal information (e.g. financial details, passwords) with the AI Coach
• AI-generated responses are for general guidance only and are not professional medical or legal advice
• IEA may review AI conversations for moderation and quality purposes

5. Microphone & Media Access

The App requests access to the following device features:

• Microphone: used solely for recording voice messages in the DM chat. We do not record or store audio without your explicit action.
• Photo Library & Camera: used solely to let you select or take a profile photo. Photos are only uploaded when you choose to do so.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking access will disable the relevant features but will not affect your general use of the App.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• AI technology provider: messages sent to the AI Coach are processed by our AI infrastructure partner to generate responses
• Payment processor: membership and payment transactions are handled by a certified third-party payment provider (we do not store card details)
• Service providers: third parties who assist with hosting, analytics, and app infrastructure, bound by confidentiality agreements
• Legal requirements: where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), or by contacting us at the address below.

Note: some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes even after account deletion.

8. Children & Minors

The App is intended for users aged 10 and over. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 10 without verifiable parental consent.

If you believe a child under 10 has registered without consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete their account.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability: request your data in a portable format
• Objection: object to certain processing activities
• Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
